I have been a professional copy editor and proofreader since 1994, when I joined Medicine Publishing (now an imprint of Elsevier Health Sciences) as a Staff Editor working on medical education and marketing publications. In 1998, I was promoted to the role of Managing Editor of the journal Medicine, a post I held until I started my own editing and proofreading business in 2006.
